Reasons |
There are several reasons to have us conduct classes at your site. The main motivation
is cost saving; with as few as four users, you can save money. For example, we charge a flat day
rate to conduct FrameMaker training for up to 12 users. We invoice the manuals on a per student
basis, usually between $35 and $50 per student depending on the courses being taught.
For example, if we teach the The
Essentials of FrameMaker and Other Basic Authoring Skills course,
which is two days, to five students, you would pay the day rate
of $950 for two days ($1900), plus five manuals at $48 each ($240)
for a total of $2140, not including travel expenses. To send five
students to public classes would cost you $995 for each student
for a total of $4975; not included in that total are traveling and
per diem expenses. This could come to $300 per day per person if
your employees must fly and stay overnight.
The second motivation is we can focus exclusively on your users questions during an on-site
training, whereas with a classroom training, we cant.
A third motivation is gaining access to problems in current documentation. You may need to discuss
problems you are having with your documents, but if that material is sensitive or proprietary,
you certainly dont want potential competitors to see your data. If you require it, we can
sign a non-disclosure/non-competition agreement prior to conducting a training on-site. |
