FrameMaker Advanced Features Training

Course Number

FM 002

Description

The FrameMaker Advanced course builds on the knowledge gained from the FrameMaker Basics course (or equivalent experience) and teaches the skills needed to use the higher-level functions of FrameMaker. The first day explains the concept behind text flows and how they can be used in FrameMaker documents. You’ll also use FrameMaker’s single-sourcing tools: Variables, Cross-References, and Conditional Text.

The second day wraps up all the skills by walking you through formatting a document, creating a book, adding files to a book, and then ensuring format uniformity for all the documents in the book. After all the files in the book have uniform formatting, you’ll learn how to add and generate a table of contents (TOC) and an index (IX). You’ll create custom Master Pages, modify formats, and control the content and appearance of the generated files by modifying the Reference Pages.

This class is for FrameMaker version 7.
